Going to clean up my home setup. First step was to cut down on the crap ads and other stuff when browsing the web. I’ve set one up before so I figured it would be straight forward…. It would be if I didn’t have ATT and their supplied router.
- Disable IPv6 - Not sure what’s going on but ATT is doing something wonky with it.
- You don’t really get to assign a static IP. Instead you assign it a pool of 1 for that MAC.
- Since you can’t adjust DNS on the router, you have to adjust that on all the devices by hand….
It’s bullshit but I don’t have the time right now to replace the supplied router with one that gives me more control.
